To Advertisers and PR Professionals: Are you looking for an inexpensive way to inform solo travelers of your product or service?  I might be able to help you. My blog is small, but I have a very targeted niche (solo travelers), and I’m active in the online travel blogger community and on Twitter (@SoloFriendly) and StumbleUpon.

Some stats (as of 8/5/10) that might interest you:

  • I currently rank  #55 of the top 100 travel blogs at TravelBlogSites.com, using an average of Alexa and Compete rankings.
  • Per Google Analytics, between July 5 to August 4, 2010, my site received 5,313 unique visits with 9,300 page views.  The traffic to my blog has been steadily growing over the past year.  I only installed Google Analytics on my site in August 2009, but since then I have seen 30,200 unique visits and 59,348 page views.
  • The majority of my visitors live in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia.
  • I have 238 subscribers to my RSS feed, 3,137 followers on Twitter, 235 fans on Facebook, and 108 followers on StumbleUpon. (Figures subject to change daily.)
  • I’m a Raveable.com featured blogger and have contributed guest posts to other websites (you can see my clips here: http://solofriendly.com/clips/)

If you are interested in advertising on my blog, please contact me using my contact form. You may also feel free to contact me about press trips and products for review.  I reserve the right to decide what I will and will not review, and will express my own opinions (both positive and negative) about any products or services received (including trips).

To My Readers: The mission of my blog is to inspire others to travel solo, not to serve as a get-rich-quick scheme for me.  That said, I’m just a working-class stiff like most of you, and the amount of time I spend working on this blog equals out to almost another full-time job.  So if I can make some money via advertising, affiliate programs, etc. to recoup my associated costs and pay myself for my time, I’ll certainly try to do that.  I may accept complementary goods and services (for instance, press trips) to provide more material to blog about. If and when I do, I will disclose that in any blog posts I write as a result. I research all potential advertisers and only accept those I deem reputable and whom I would recommend to friends and family (exception being Google ads, I have no control over those).  I hope you will consider supporting  advertisers on my blog in order to support this site.  Please remember you should do your own research before making any purchases from any website, including this one.

If you have any questions that I haven’t covered here, please feel free to contact me.
