Encore and Wynn Hotels
Steve Wynn’s Encore celebrated its grand opening last night in Las Vegas. I wish I were there to see it in person. But since I wasn’t, I’ve been following it in the media, and thought I’d share some links with the rest of you who weren’t there, either.
Here’s a slideshow from the Las Vegas Review Journal, and articles from the Las Vegas Review Journal and the L.A. Times. I also followed some Twitterers who attended the grand opening, Brian Fey (twitter.com/Brian_Fey), vegastripping (twitter.com/vegastripping), and ratevegas (twitter.com/ratevegas). It was the most fun following the Twitterers–it was like having friends text me to tell me what was going on. (I’ll be posting more about the beauty of Twitter later this week.)

Encore Las Vegas and Wynn Las Vegas
I have to say, I’ve never been a fan of the website for Wynn Las Vegas, and Encore Las Vegas is cut from the same mold. (I wish the category links would just sit still instead of scrolling so I can click on them and get to the information that I’m looking for as quickly as possible!) But the real mystery for me is that Encore’s website doesn’t have a link for restaurants or dining! That seems like quite an oversight to me. (Luckily, the restaurants were mentioned in the L.A. Times article, so I know they have some.) Let’s hope they add that information to the website soon. I will say I love the photo on the opening page of Encore. Beautiful. Will I go visit Encore next time I’m in Vegas? You bet.
