Welcome to the site, lemonfresh! I'm sorry, I replied to your post three weeks ago, but my reply wasn't showing up and I realized I was having technical difficulties with the comment program.

The reason people think you're crazy is because they've never tried solo travel themselves! If they did, they'd want to do more of it. That is great story about the Excalibur. Those sorts of connections tend to happen more often when you travel alone. I love it, personally.

The reason people think you're crazy is because they've never tried solo travel themselves. They don't know how great it can be! Your story from the Excal is pretty funny (as long as it doesn't happen too much, right?). I love when things like that happen when I'm traveling. Sometimes you make really neat connections with people when you're traveling solo that you wouldn't if you were with others. Thanks for commenting! I love hearing from other solo travelers (especially those who love Vegas!). If you've been to other destinations solo, I'd love to hear about them.

Vegas is a fantastic solo vacation! Everyone thinks I'm crazy to travel alone, but it is truly the best way to have a relaxing vacation! Las Vegas has a lot to offer the solo female traveler. I was able to take in many of the attractions that I would have been unable to do with a companion. (The only awkward moment was at the 4-D attraction at Excaliber. I was the only adult in line with two small girls. Their mother did not go on the attraction, and they asked me to take care of them! We had a great time, weird, but very fun!) It is relatively safe, and common sense is a must!
