All in all I'm still impressed how you rarely wait for anything on a cruise ship holding thousands of people! I've been on four cruises with four different cruise lines, and all had the dining at a set time. I was with a big group for several of the cruises, so in a way it was nice to all have a set dining time, to make sure we got to all eat together. But sometimes it was such a drag--and I can imagine it being a huge pain when doing it solo! It's really cool that NCL lets you do your own thing. Definitely sounds more appealing for solo traveling.
