I have been thinking about posting an apology to anyone who visited my site last year and believed me when I told them that the best time to visit Burlington, Vermont is in the summer time–and then visited this summer and found themselves constantly drenched, wading through several inches of rainwater in the streets and dodging inch-thick hail. But like the local meteorologists, all I can do is quote Han Solo: “It’s not my fault!”
The rarer the sun is, the more we appreciate it when it finally puts in an appearance–which is usually while we’re all slaving away in our cubicles at work. But not today! The sun finally graced us with its presence today, just in time for the Vermont Pride Parade and Festival, which was a fun time for the community to come together around equal rights for the LGBT community.
