Welcome back! You seem to like this blog. Why not share your favorite articles with your friends on Facebook and/or give it a Stumble? Thanks!
Are you an animal lover as well as a solo traveler? Or a nature photographer? A birder, perhaps? And maybe you’re not quite ready to take the plunge and go on a photo safari to Africa or alone to Costa Rica. You could always get your feet wet by going to Disney World. Yes, Disney World. Animal Kingdom at Disney World used to have this saying, that it was “nahtazu” (not a zoo, get it?). I got a big kick out of that during my first trip to the World back in 2005. They don’t seem to use this phrase any more; I guess they figure people understand now that it’s not a zoo, and the marketing is no longer needed. In any case, while it may be true that Animal Kingdom is not a zoo, that doesn’t mean you won’t get up close and personal with wildlife while at Disney World–and not just at Animal Kingdom. So if you enjoy communing with the fauna during your solo travels (especially birds of all kinds), Disney World might just be for you. And it’s a great starter trip for a newbie solo traveler.
Here is a photo blog of some of my favorite wildlife photos from my recent trip to Disney. (If anyone knows birds well enough to identify what some of these are, I’d appreciate it. I have no clue.)

That's quite a lot of lovely animal photos. I particularly liked the last one. I'm not sure if I can identify it though.
