It always warms the cockles of my heart (whatever they are) to see Vermont mentioned in major publications, so I was quite pleased with this spread on Sugarbush ski resort by the New York Times.  It is dated December 21, but was published online on December 19.  I am no longer a skier myself, but I have seen the new facilities there and have to say, they have done a very nice job. The article could not have come out at a more opportune time, since Vermont has had two major snowstorms in the past four days, with another expected tomorrow–so skiing conditions should be outstanding through the next couple of weeks at least.  Now would be a great time for a ski or snowboard getaway to Vermont.

Don’t forget it’s not just open in the winter, either.  You can also go up there in the summer and enjoy activities like golf, tennis, mountain biking and zip lining.  Check out the section called “warm weather stuff” on their website.
