How to choose a seat on a plane

The best seats on the plane are the key to a comfortable flight. Ryanair has prepared some useful tips for both photo lovers and those who want to sleep quietly in the corner.

If you need to get off quickly
You don’t have the strength to wait for your vacation or business meeting, or you really want to go home soon? Then reserve seats 1 A, B, C or 2 D, E, F to be among the first to leave the plane. These seats are also ideal for people who frequently use the restroom during a flight. Although for some people the proximity to the restroom may not be the most pleasant bonus.

If you want to take pictures.
Great seats can also be found for those who are going to post picturesque photos on Instagram. Just sitting by the window, by the way, is not enough for this. The most spectacular thing would be if in the frame, besides the sky, fluffy clouds or cities, illuminated by millions of tiny lights, there would be an airplane wing. To get such pictures, choose seats within 15-18 rows.

If you fly with a large group
It may happen that you’re going on a trip with 20 friends. For example, for a bachelor or bachelorette party, an away game, a concert – well, where else. In this case, don’t be lazy to make a group reservation. You and your friends can be guaranteed to sit next to each other, plus there are discounts or bonuses for group reservations.

If you need plenty of leg room
Owners of long legs and all lovers of spreading limbs more spaciously better take care of their comfort before the flight. The most spacious seats are located in rows 1, 16 or 17. You must reserve them in advance and pay a fee. But it’s really worth it.

And note that on rows 16-17 it is forbidden to put hand luggage on the floor for safety reasons. Also, children under 16 and passengers with disabilities are not allowed to fly here.

If you need a good night’s sleep
Want to get on a plane and just fall asleep? A hint – not many people know that there is no window next to seat 11A. Such a seat would be ideal for those who want a quiet nap with no light in their eyes, and no one to jerk. Especially during a daytime flight.

If you travel with children
Traveling with children is a story with separate nuances. Ryanair, for example, allows infant car seats on board and even heats up bottles of baby food for little travelers. But it turns out that’s not all – there are perks for seat selection when flying with young passengers, too. Book a seat for the whole family with the Family Extra option and get a 50% discount on a child’s seat reservation. The same option gives you priority boarding and children’s baggage allowance.

If you can’t wait to eat
Can’t wait to try a snack? Seats in rows 1, 2 and 33 are next to the kitchen. So sitting on them you can start your meal well in advance of the other passengers on the plane. And the hot meal will be served to you faster. Bon appetit!
